I’m particularly interested in storytelling, creative programming, and collaborative work, often bringing together very old and very new music, and elements of other art forms. As a performer, I explore both my instruments and the music I play through the lens of research as performance/performance as research – drawing on contemporary source material, embodied knowledge and stories around place. Working closely with composers over the past few years has allowed me to generate a considerable body of exciting repertoire that stretches my imaginative and technical limits as a player.
